Benign fibrous ureteral polyp found by ultrasonography in medical examination
. MOTOAKI SAITO, . NAOTO TAKEDA

A 23-year-old Japanese male attended our clinic for routine medical examination. He has no previous urological symptom. Abdominal ultrasonography revealed a bladder tumor, and subsequent cystoscopic examination and right retrograde pyelogram indicated that the tumor arose from the right distal ureter extending to the bladder. TUR-ureteral tumor was performed and histological examination indicated benign ureteral tissue consistent with fibroepithelial polyp of the ureter. This report suggest that a general physical examination combined with careful abdominal ultrasonography may discover an increased incidence of urological tumors.
